Yesterday was the day of the big Eau Claire, Wisconsin AG charity sale. It is similar to the Madison sale but not as big. I was supposed to be there but I had a conflict. I know that there were a couple of people from our board going. If you went, how was it? I am curious about what I missed.

I went on saturday. I got kailey for my daugher as well as matching outfits for kailey and my daughter. She is SOOO excited. My neice has bitty baby and the twins and my daughter had none yet so she was thrilled. We got in line at 5:30 am. My mom and sister were in line with me and it opened at 9. They had really great deals. The bitty baby toggle coat was 15. Dresses were 8. It was pretty cool to be there. I have never gone to a sale before. I will for sure go to the madison one in July. Has anyone been to that one? I would like some advice for that sale. I know you buy tickets and get a time slot, but how is the turn out?? Crazy??

How great that you got Kailey. Was she $60? What matching outfit did you get for Kailey and your DD? Was it crowded? Did they have any trunks or furniture. DETAILS - We need more Details, LOL. There are a lot of people here who have been to the Madison sale and could share their experience with you.

The bad thing about being so close to an AGP is that I'm so far from the sales. Great for you that you got Kailey! What a deal.

I am pretty sure mandasmom went to the sale. She was planning on going so I hope she got to go. I haven't seen her post yet so hopefully she will come back online soon and tell us about the sale.

Yes, Kailey was $60. I didn't have a lot of cash so I couldn't get more. I got the go anywhere outfit for my DD and Kailey. They had a very small amount of clothes in my daughters size, 7. They had TONS of little girl clothes. They had no bitty babies, bummer. Lots of angelina books, I got 3 of those. They had some outfits for the dolls and kailey's accessories. Which I didn't get, dangit. They had the henry doll, and coconuts stationary kit.
It was not too crowded. We got in line at 5:30am and we were number 31, 32, and 33 in line. There was still a line to get in at 11am. But not a very long one.
I would LOVE more info on the madison sale. I'm going in July and want to get all the info I can so I'm prepared. I'll try to answer more details on the Eau Claire sale if anyone has anymore.

We were having problems with our internet server and didn't get back online til this afternoon.

We did go to the sale. Unfortunately, this is the last year that the Eau Claire Childrens Museum will be having a benefit sale. AG closed their catalog order center in Eau Claire last spring, and they only support communities that are home to their business in this manner, so they hadn't donated as much to this years sale as the two previous years. They limited the dolls to 1 per person this year, and they had enough for everyone, but they had run out of the historical dolls by noon. They had some Kailey dolls, her scuba set, Sandy the dog, her boogie board, and beach towel. They had some Angelina Ballerina items, I think 4 Bitty outits, 4 Twins outfits, only the go anywhere and new GOT outfits for AG dolls, some AG accessory sets (sparkle keyboard, bridesmaid set, talent show accessories) and lots of books and clothes for girls. They didn't have the historical nightgowns for girls like last year, or coconut pjs (I was sure they would since I had already bought them) A lot of what they had were things that had been on clearance in the last few months, but for better prices.

I'm glad we went, and there were some great bargains, but for the most part, you don't need to feel too badly that you weren't able to go.

I just wanted to mention that sometimes I have hesitated to use the toll free number to place orders, because I've been afraid of the comments they might make because of my code use. I know I've read other posts from members saying the same thing. Well, I sat next to someone in line who worked for AG and was one of the 900 people in Eau Claire that lost their job because AG felt so many people were placing orders on the internet that they didn't need to keep their office open. The internet is much most cost effective for them. I doubt many CS people will be hassling us-I would guess they will just be glad we called in in person. I never really thought about how my ordering online could effect other people's job security.
